The PIR sensor functions pretty well. It scans each and every 5 seconds reacts very speedily. I ordered added sensors to compliment the Air Alarm kit I ordered. The adjustability of the mounting makes it effortless to aim as soon as a mounting place is chosen.
Of the three sensors, there is a single that appears to have one particular undesirable trait. I'm unsure if it is exceptional to that sensor or if it is simply because it is in a high visitors place or negative luck with 9V batteries. The PIR scans every five seconds according the manual and when it detects motion, it glows red. The sensor in question has used three 9V batteries because it was mounted. The original battery did not last particularly extended and I assumed it was since it was a no name battery included with the unit. The second lasted 3 months and it did not glow "white" when the battery is low according to the manual. The red LED merely would was not as vibrant as standard (it was a 9V that I had, but tested "decent" with the battery tester just before installed- so it could have been just negative luck with two batteries). It is on it is third battery in six months. That is the only concern that has come up considering the fact that the installation and so far just with one of the three PIR sensors. The Air Alarm and sensors are not even 1 year old however, but the PIR does perform as stated.
When these function, they're amazing. I at the moment have five installed, and frequently speaking, they operate correctly. However, of the eight total that I have ordered, I have had troubles with 3: 1 would not turn on at all, one particular looked like it was turned on but wouldn't detect motion, and the third a single detects motion inconsistently. I'm returning the two that do not function at all (through Amazon) I will update the critique if there are any issues with the return.
