Buyer Testimonials

Pros:
-It operates. Opening a window or glass door on which the alarm is attached will make it go off.
-It makes use of two AAA batteries which are widely readily available.
-It has a Low and a High sensitivity setting.
Cons:
-It goes off at complete volume for a fraction of a second when it is turned on. This is unnecessary and disturbing. If you turn it on at night, your neighbors may possibly not appreciate becoming woken up.
-There are various factors why this vibration alarm can go off, like powerful winds, loud automobile horns (especially from trucks), and other peculiar loud noises -- even at the Low sensitivity setting. I say this from individual encounter. Do you actually want to leave your house with this turned on, figuring out it could alarm for no good cause? Even if you intend to use it only when an individual is household, even so, it is most likely that you may perhaps sometime forget to turn it off when leaving home. It might've helped if the alarm was either less sensitive or a lot more intelligent, while I know the latter is likely a lot to ask.
Misc comments:
-It doesn't turn off automatically right after a though if it has gone on (till the battery is exhausted). This may well be a pro or a con, but if it is nonetheless on right after say ten minutes, it is likely a con.
In summary, because of the false alarms, I cannot advise this item. I trashed it, and opted for a GE magnetic alarm rather.

Operates as advertised -- loud, as well! Apparently they anticipate you to install the sensor right in the middle of your window if you want to use the low setting, any place else and they recommend you use high. I stuck it in the corner of my window on high, and it's sensitive adequate to go off when we get a close adequate lightning strike, but not so sensitive that it is going off with each and every storm. We've had LOTS of thunderstorms this summer and it only went off as soon as, so I think about that a decent balance between being sensitive sufficient that I'm confident in it without getting annoying from as well a large number of false alarms.
