Buyer Reviews

Dog died, wanted a hassle-free system with nearby (door) and central alarm. This is not the one to get.
Overall description:
five door/window magnetic sensors. Every sensor has a switch on the side which says RF-Off-RF/ Alarm.
two keyfobs, each and every with separate on/ off buttons.
1 central unit with 6 Red LEDs, a space beside every for a written description, and a switch on the side which toggles Alarm-Off-Chime.
1 Infrared unit, by no means tested.
The magnetic sensors trip when the primary unit is as well far away from a basic magnetic bar. My understanding is that the RF setting is to be quiet locally but alarm remotely (did not work, so I don't know). The RF/ Alarm setting supplies neighborhood and remote alarm. Each and every sensor comes prenumbered so that it corresponds to an LED on the central unit.
On the central unit, the alarm is supposed to give a visual and audible alarm when the sensor is tripped.
Pros:
Door sensors are loud and can be individually set to alarm remotely or remotely and locally.
Double-sided sticky tape is permanent. Improved make sure you place it on right the very first time given that paint will come with it.
Cons:
Often it functions quite often it does not. Who the heck knows?
From time to time the central unit's alarm would trip but the corresponding LED did not light. Occasionally it did not trip at all.
The RF setting on none of the door sensors triggered the central unit. Only RF/ Alarm brought on the central unit to each alarm and light up and this was inconsistent.
Door sensors are larger than any other individuals I've seen.
You will need 6 AA batteries. It ships with 17 batteries, why not complete the job?
Style is horrible.
-There is only 1 volume level. The "chime" is just as loud as the alarm. We had been thinking the chime could act as a just a very simple indication, like a doorbell, that does not wake the baby.
-For what it really is worth, the chime is attainable only on the central unit, not every sensor.
-Arming/ disarming is at complete volume, as well. When you arm the central unit, you get a full volume alarm cycle instead of just a chirp or other less intense indication.
-You can not just set the central unit's switch to chime or alarm. You have to also arm the unit with the keyfob.
-Keyfobs are only for arming and disarming the central unit. If you have the door sensors set to RF/ Alarm, the sensors will nevertheless alarm.
-Directions are only on the packaging. The packaging wrongly stated there was an included User Manual. I located a pdf manual on [...], but it wasn't substantially far better.
Really disappointed in this product.

Ahead of installing, I layed out the elements on a table, did the set up per the instruction manual and tested each and every item by simulating alarm. Instruction manual have to have to be revised for the battery sizes mentioned for the motion detector and the alarm unit - require to be "AAA" and not "AA".
It is beneficial household security alarm program for the price tag.
